Guy Kuenzel

A loving family from Wakeman, Ohio adopted six week old Guy in 1968. When he was 8, his adoptive mother died of cancer. Despite an emotional blow, he continued in school and graduated from Western Reserve in 1986. Next he joined the United States Navy for a 5-year term. Through hard times a good officer pushed his limits, helping Guy succeed in the military. It was during his tour overseas that he met the Lord through a Christian Serviceman's Center. Once stationed in Charleston, South Carolina, he made this city his home. Following his honorable discharge, he faced employment and financial challenges, unable to lean on his family located 700 miles away. Only his faith in God and church family supported him. This was the beginning of many hurdles ahead to overcome.
